Interfaithing.com was established in March 2009 in Montreal, Canada. We are an online interfaith community with daily interfaith news, positive news, videos, an extensive interfaith resource and the largest interfaith group directory on the Internet.
There are currently thousands of interfaith groups, and hundreds of thousands of individuals around the world practicing interfaith. While the goal of interfaith is to unite humanity under a common set of morals and values, an overwhelming majority of interfaith groups are isolated within their individual communities. This realization inspired us to create a central meeting place for the existing interfaith groups to connect, share information, and grow the global interfaith community.
Our objective is to unite and grow the global interfaith community while promoting friendship, respect, and kindness between all of mankind. We affirm that while the world’s religions may differ in their beliefs and traditions, they are all connected by a common set of morals and values known as the Golden Rule. We believe that the biggest cause of tension between the faiths is a lack of understanding about the religious other. We believe that best way to create a pluralistic world, and put religious/secular misconceptions to rest is to learn about each other from each other. To achieve this goal, we have built a large social network of interfaith groups, ministers, leaders, and people just like you, making it easier than ever to connect, share, and grow the global interfaith community.
We would like to honor the late Harold Schneider for the inspiration he has given us for this project. Thank you Harry for sharing interfaith with us.
