Helping a driver in need
The other day I pulled into the gas station to fill up when a young man approached me. He looked very ditressed and explained that he had run out of gas and couldn't find his wallet and asked me if I would spare a couple of dollars. I thought of this thread and it reminded me to help my fellow man. I thought to myself, if I were in the same situation, I would be very grateful if someone did the same for me! I gladly gave him a $10 bill and he was very appreciative and relieved. I immediately felt good that I helped out a stranger.

Helping a fellow HUMAN-BEING
I was on my way to see a patient, I do home visits and there is an elderly gentleman carrying his laundry to the laudromat beside the building I was entering. There was a bank of snow separating us so I went up to him and told him that I would like to help him carry the bags to the laudromat.
The man looked surprised at my kind gesture but replied thank you young man it is rare that people offer their help. I said it would be my pleasure, he told me to continue what I was doing!
He then asked for my name, we chatted for 1 minute and I headed out to see my patient.
Such little effort is needed to makes somebody's day, make them feel noticed, connect and have an impact on somebody. Why should it be rare when it is so simple? Let's start caring....

Great story Christopher! Paying it forward is contagious. People remember when someone goes out of their way to help, and they will be more likely to do the same in the future for someone else
