    Lightbulb The Meaning of Life...

WOW, what a dramatic title, please don't be ALARMED

What is the meaning of life?? What a great question!

What happens after we die??? Another good one.

How many different interpretations and answers could there be to either of these? Countless.

So why do we even bother to get into arguments and disputes over the answers. These are questions that have no “right” answers to them, because what’s right for me may not be the same for you. We all have our own unique interpretations of the world, and why we’re here, and what happens at the end of life. And our interpretations are just that, interpretations. Stories.

We all have millions of memories in our minds, and many, probably all of these memories have stories that come along with them. Most of us have a few special memories and stories in mind that are looked on more than most. Those are the amazing moments in our lives that we focus on and remember, and identify with, and feel great because of them. And in the present moment when you look back and feel those emotions, you realize that you’re never alone in the best memories, you’re sharing the moments with people.

And for me, that’s what life is about, that’s the meaning of life. Moments and feelings. And when you die, it’s like you’re asleep forever... doesn’t sound that bad :^)

Everyone has their own story, I guess what I want to say is it’s crazy to argue with someone over these questions, WE ALL DON’T KNOW.

That’s all we can be sure about.

So with that long pre-amble out of the way, what do you think???

To YOU what is the meaning of life???
And what happens after our life??? (Feel free to be creative!)

(Thanks for sharing and remember, we are all just making up a story.)

Great subject! This discussion could go on and on forever. Because like you said, no one is right or wrong, we can only have opinions, ideas, and theories about this.

Personally, at this stage in my life, I believe in reincarnation. So from that perspective, death is not scary at all. It is merely the next step in a never ending life.

I believe that I am here right now in this present life to learn as much as I can. I have been put on this earth to meet people and have experiences that will shape my life. This is very much a Buddhist mentality of life. Only once I have reached the level of "enlightenment" will I pass on to "nirvana" (whatever that may be). Each life that I live on this earth is to learn something and accomplish things that I did not do in a previous life.

With that said, I make it my priority to be open to new experiences and ways of thinking so that I can learn as much as I can while I am here.

This is only my opinion, and it's OK if I'm completely off the mark because that is part of the process....searching for answers....being curious about life.

    Thanks for starting this topic

Cool response. Something that REALLY stuck out to me was the part you said about being "curious about life". I think thats awesome!!! A healthy curiosity is so great to have, and it really helps out your learning, NICE!!!
