    Lightbulb New Style of Media

I don't know about all of you out there, but I am tired of all the news channels telling me how bad the world is. Not only is it pessimistic, I find it gutless. They're afraid to show hope for the future, and nobody hears any good news anymore. Why!?!

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to hear some positive news stories here. I want this to be a place where people come for inspiration and hope.

I really want this to be a special place for a lot of people.

So please post links to positive news, links to videos of positive news, or even share a positive news story by typing it out. Even if it happened in YOUR small town and isn't considered 'news', if you think it will inspire someone, or you think it will show people that the world is a great place filled with great people, PLEASE SHARE

This is a very important time for the world, and people need to know that there are acts of kindness and warmth going on across the world constantly. And we should all share our positive stories to encourage more and more to take place. Because the more we hear about people being kind and friendly, the more it will spread in the world.

Friendship-Kindness-Respect. Thats what we should hear more about!!!

    Thanks!

I've recently really gotten into watching the Colbert Report and Jon Stewart's the Daily Show. Many would argue that those shows aren't accurate and reliable sources for news. I beg to differ. What makes these shows any different then conventional news shows? Each one expresses opinions on situations and chooses which side to cover. If anything I appreciate the Colbert Report and the Daily Show more because they show a side to the news that no one else wants you to see, and in a humorous way which makes it more appealing to watch.

The point is, it doesn't matter where you get your news from because all media is biased to some degree. What does matter is the viewers being able to think critically and question the news. The more people that seek out new forms of media and challenge the conventional news sources, the more we learn. I think more and more people are realizing this and refusing to buy into every word the news says at face value.

If anyone has any other shows/websites/publications like this please share

    Default I agree

I think it is important that we share the truths. Collect the information that should be know and by networking that information properly, the truth will become more powerful. We can no longer just ignore the real problems. Changes even if very minor need to be made.

The news should be educating us on real events and what should be known information and not scaring us. We must question the news they are feeding us so as to determine their sources.....

Love to live and live to love,
    Christopher
