Event Description: Following its successful launch in 2008, St Philip’s Centre is once again offering its free and exciting 7 week Introduction to Faith Tourism course . This course is aimed at people who already welcome visitors to places of worship or organise exhibitions/ displays. The course will increase their skills and understanding about the social and economic benefits visitors can bring.

The course is also open to people who have an interest in religion and belief and who would like to become faith guides. Improving community cohesion is an important part of the course because you will have the opportunity to learn about other faiths as well as your own.

Subjects covered will include:
• Importance of Faith Tourism
• Presentation skills
• Effective marketing & communication
• Understanding your own and other faiths
• How to make your place of worship more welcoming and accessible to increase visitor numbers
