Attend IFFP Gathering (service) to experience an interfaith community. Participate in our Adult
Education Discussion: “Celebrating Passover & Easter in the Same Family”. Noon -1:30 will be the
official introduction of the series with Rabbi White & Rev. Julia for series participants only.

Session #1 Rites of Passage
Weddings, baby naming/bris/baptism/anointing, coming of age ceremonies/Bar & Bat Mitzvah, funerals

Session #2 Family Living
Extended family & outside pressures; how to raise the children- interfaith or choosing one faith; expressing and articulating needs; difficult emotions dealing with intermarriage

Session #3 Holidays, Symbols & Rituals
How much do you understand about your spouse’s faith? About your own faith? What in your tradition is most important to you now? What will you want to pass on to your children?

Session #4 Understanding Social & Cultural Differences

Anti-Semitism & the history of the church as it affects us now; Judaism as a civilization as well as a religion. We will also address final questions and concerns.
