The Dalai Lama – World Perceptions

His Holiness the Dalai Lama talks about how the media influences whether we see the world as being violent or peaceful. Only a small percentage of the human population acts out in violence and terrorism, and all too often we form generalizations about different religions and cultures based on the actions of small extremist groups. For most people, all they see on TV and in newspapers is that negative events are happening all around, when in reality there is much more good. We have a responsibility to look outside conventional sources of information in order to have a positive perspective on the world.
