Eboo Patel - Pluralism vs. Extremism

At the Chicago Summit in June 2010, Eboo Patel, Executive Director and Founder of the Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) spent time with the British Council's Transatlantic Network 2020 and offered his insights into why interfaith work is so important. He discusses the difference between pluralism and extremism. He explains that contrary to popular belief, the world is as religious as ever. However, the world is also more polarized than ever. He also emphasizes that the world's population is very young, and youth have a very important role to play in promoting interfaith cooperation.
