Psychologist Jonathan Haidt explores the roots of morality, how we develop morality, and the five moral values that form the basis for our choices. While he talks about morality mostly from a political sense, it is very clear that the same moral factors influence our opinions and decisions concerning religion and spirituality as well. He cross-examines the moral values of open-minded (liberal) and conservative (republican) people in an effort to better understand one and other and create moral humility.
