We are now beginning to understand the connection between the mind and body and how thoughts are created.
On a daily basis an individual apparently has 60,000 thoughts and most are said to be negative. If we begin to listen to what we are saying and not let negative things come out of our mouths then we can begin to shape our thoughts and reality.
There is a tremendous power in our spoken word and most of us do not put much attention to this or are just not aware how important this really is. We use words all the time but we rarely think about what we are saying or how it is delivered and the impact it has on those around us. In fact, most are unaware that our thoughts are mostly negative.
We were never taught that our choice of words would shape our life experience. Our words and phrases are extensions of our thoughts. Just for today, start to listen to what you are saying. Be aware if you are using negative words and then try to change them.
When you wake up in the morning, what are your first thoughts? Are they positive and happy? Or do you find yourself moaning and groaning about your upcoming day? What are your last thoughts before drifting off to sleep? Do you worry about tomorrow or do you have peaceful and healing thoughts?
Our minds belong to us and no one can tell us how to think. We choose our thoughts. What we give out we get back. Being conscious of what we think can tremendously affect the way we live and interact with ourselves and others.
